What To See In Venice In One Day

What happens when you visit one of the most original, romantic and gorgeous cities of the world? That you fall in love with it, of course. That’s what happened to me with Venice despite having just 24 hours to visit it.

What To See In Venice In One Day

I saw as much as possible during my very brief stay, that’s why I want to tell you what to see in Venice in one day. Because, although it might be hard to believe, it is possible to see a lot and to fall hard for this Italian city.

The first thing I did as soon as I stepped down in Venice was to visit the hugely popular St. Mark’s Square, which is bigger than you could ever imagine and full of life thanks to all the tourists and pigeons that fill it every day.

Right there I entered St. Mark’s Basilica, one of the most impressive and gorgeous churches I have ever seen in my life. The interior is completely covered with mosaics and there are three museums inside which are worth visiting if you have some extra time.

As soon as you leave St. Mark’s Basilica you should walk right across the square to find the Campanile. This bell-tower has an elevator that for just a couple of euros will take you right to the top so you can enjoy the most breath-taking view of the whole city.

As you all must know, Venice is most popular for its canals, so I couldn’t leave without getting on a gondola to do a little tour of the canals and you should do the same. Definitely not the cheapest experience, but surely one of the most romantic ones I have ever expierienced.

Getting around Venice on a gondola will almost make you feel like you are living in a movie and I guarantee you it will be an experience you will never forget.

After having done everything I had always wanted to do in Venice, I decided to simply get lost. You might think doing that when you don’t have much time to visit a city is a waste, but it wasn’t and I recommend you do the same.

Walking around the streets of Venice without anywhere to go in particular will make you fall in love with the city even more and you will be glad you did it.Now that I have told you what to see in Venice in one day, all you have to do is book your tickets and enjoy your most romantic holidays ever.
